Transit Systems + Impacts of Shared Mobility Study
Sam Schwartz, in partnership with the Shared Use Mobility Center and with funding from Transit Center, led a national study on transit systems and the impacts of shared mobility. The study sought to identify emerging forms of shared mobility that indirectly benefit fixed route transit through an analysis of six pilot cities. In addition, the firm analyzed impacts on ridership, personal choices for people living in areas with robust transit, and shared mobility resources. Sam Schwartz also assembled a compilation of policy and planning initiatives that transit agencies, cities, and MPO’s are and should be adopting to maximize mobility in their respective service areas.
